Founder, Viakix

Adam Sherman is the founder of Viakix, a footwear company he started in 2015. Adam wanted to build a company that designed, manufactured and sold shoes for outdoor enthusiasts. He also wanted to build a company that stands for something greater and gives back to the community. Although Adam started Viakix as a "passion project", today he leads the company in developing innovative and unique footwear for an ever-expanding and passionate customer base.  

Adam was not always a "shoe dog" (i.e., an expert in footwear). Prior to Viakix, Adam spent over two decades working in the biotechnology and medical fields overseeing the development and launch of rare disease therapeutics. He is a published author, having written scientific publications in journals such as Bone, Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases, Endocrinology, and Journal of Clinical Investigation. Adam graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire and earned an M.B.A with honors from Boston University.

When not immersed in Viakix, you can find Adam out on the trails with his trusted 4-legged companion, Penny. Adam lives with his wife and two incredible children.
